Position Title: Head Cook, Camp Easter Seal - Seasonal, Full-Time

Brief description of available position

This position is seasonal, full-time (May 26 to August 24, 2010).

Under the direction of the Camp Administrator, the Head Cook is responsible to:

– Prepare and supervise the preparation of meals as determined by the Camp Administrator

– Supervise the direct and day-to-day operations of the kitchen

– Complete the final stages of food preparation

– Ensure meals are served on time

– Maintain inventory with the Camp Administrator

– Ensure sanitation, neatness and safety in the kitchen

– Other duties as specified by the Camp Manager and Camp Administrator

Experience and Qualifications

– Safe Food Handling Certificate

– Kitchen experience required

– Knowledge of nutrition, equipment and kitchen processes

– Effective interpersonal, problem solving and conflict resolution skills

– Effective time management and organizational skills

– Oral communication skills

– Positive attitude

The final candidates are required to provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Search

Compensation Information

$109.20 per day plus Room and Board and all meals
