Direct Support Professional

Through person-centered programs, assists and supports individuals in making choices in their life to maximize their potential and quality of life.  Supports include personal care, accessing health and community services, accessing social/recreational activities, and life/work training.   Supports vary depending on the individual’s specific needs and goals and range from living independently and working in the community to 24/7 support for those with complex behavioural and medical needs. 

Employment Support Worker

Provides support to participants in finding and maintaining employment within the community.  Assists participants with career planning, job search, and pre-employment and life skills.  Works with employers and their new employees in support of the employment relationship (i.e., acting as a liaison, providing job shadow skills training on-site) until natural supports are established in the workplace.

Residential Manager

Oversees the support and care provided to individuals in their home.    Monitors, coaches and supports assigned Direct Support Professionals, and may be involved in hiring Direct Support Professionals.  Responsible for staff scheduling and time keeping.  Monitors residential programs to ensure that the goals and objectives of the participants are being addressed and assists Direct Support Professionals in their duties. 

Program Coordinator

Works with individuals and their support networks to develop, implement, and evaluate programs designed to maximize their potential and quality of life (addressing developmental, behavioural, medical, and social needs).  Some supervisory duties may be involved, which can include training of staff on the delivery of programs and acting as a resource for Direct Support Professionals.

Supported Independent Living Program (SILP) Worker

Supports the participants of SILP in enhancing their skills and abilities. Holds responsibility for the planning and implementation of program plans for SILP participants. The ultimate goal is for participants to one day possess full, functional independence.

Office Administrator

Performs reception and clerical duties that include word processing and filing.  Sets up and maintains office filing system, including documentation/records for the Board of Directors.  Assists Executive Director with accounting functions to prepare agency financial information (financial statements, budgets).  Performs functions for employee payroll and benefits.

Executive Director

Holds overall responsibility for all aspects of the organization’s operations.  Is accountable for the organization’s relationships with participants, participants’ families, employees, suppliers, community, funders, etc. Is responsible to ensure that programs for people with disabilities and the management of human resources, finances, facilities, and reporting methods that support those programs are in place and functioning as required. Is responsible for the successful leadership, management, and implementation of the strategic goals and objectives of the organization according to Board direction.
