Executive Director Swift Current - Southwest Homes

Southwest Homes is looking for a strong leader who cares about people, but also has a strong sense of what it takes to run a successful, not-for-profit organization.  Reporting to the Board of Directors, you'll oversee and hold primary responsibility for staff (106), participants (65), and operations of all programs (11).

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Building relationships with community, government, participants and staff
  • Managing finances, operations and human relations
  • Planning and operation of an annual budget
  • Successful leadership, management and implementation of strategic goals and vision
  • Providing leadership to management team and 95 staff

 

Key Qualifications and Competencies:

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of leadership experience preferably in a not for profit organization and with experience in the disability/social services/ or health sector
  • An under graduate degree in leadership, community development, social services or equivalent experience, and education and/or knowledge
  • Experience working with a Board of Directors
  • Familiarity and desire to work with people with differing intellectual and/or physical abilities

Compensation based on education and experience.  Benefit plan in place.  Must provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sect Check prior to employment.
